Objective: To be able to accurately identify and depict pollinators in your art
Level: Intermediate to advanced
Prerequisite: Botanical Drawing I and II, Colored Pencil I or Watercolor I, or equivalent experience (check with program registrar)

Including pollinators in your botanical illustrations not only adds beautiful dimension, but also connects your plant or flower with the essential creatures that its very existence depends upon. Discover the scientific specifics and habits of bees and butterflies and ways to illustrate them accurately through careful study and execution. This class will include scientific study and lectures by Ryan Gott, Phipps’ integrated pest management specialist, and Christina Neumann of Apoidea Apiary.
