Hands-on class hosted at Botany Hall Kitchen

Ever find yourself staring at a pantry full of food but seeing nothing to eat? Join Beth Taylor and Erika Bruce as they dive into cooking with what you have on hand. Cooking with what you have on hand is a skill our ancestors masterfully executed. Learning basic cooking techniques allows you to cook without recipes and use up what is in your refrigerator and pantry, plus make the most of seasonal produce and herbs. This class will focus on searing proteins and topping with a fresh sauce or savory fruit relish, building salads with homemade dressings, working with grains and vegetables and quick and easy desserts inspired by the garden. In this class we'll harvest fresh produce from the Phipps edible garden!
